Cool mens clothes?

January 14th, 2009

I must be the only man to want a Bob the Builder Shirt or Thomas Shirt.  I think it would be so cool.  And why do all designers think men want navy and black, maybe they think we’re colour blind…!!

For cool men’s clothing, you can try urban outfitters, french connection, zara, juicy couture…

If you want something really different, then you can check out eBay or ur local thrift store. btw, check out their websites if ur not sure what the styles are like. some ships nationwide, if you don’t live by one. I don’t know what thomas shirts are, but hope this info helps.

Does anyone know how much it cost to make a custom dress shirt?

January 12th, 2009

I need a dress shirt to wear a tie.  I need to know where and how much it cost if I use a good fabric how much will it cost and I am a guy I need it to wear at a wedding.

A wedding dress shirt made specifically to your measurement by a reputable dressmaker should cost around $50, if you supply the material and thread and buttons, etc.

Before you complain that the cost is too high, just remember that it would take a minimum of 8 to 10 hours to sew this item, fit it, and do the fine tailoring to your form. So it translates into less than minimum wage.

If you use a tailor, the shirt will cost you a lot more–probably at least double. The cheapest way to get a finely tailored wedding dress shirt, is to buy one that fits you properly over the shoulders, in the length of the arms, and in the neck, and is the general style you want. And then take that shirt to the dressmaker and have her tailor it to your form.

The tailoring should cost around $10. With the shirt itself costing anywhere from $50 to $100 depending on the material, and the manufacturer.

Do you think selling cheap designer clothes would be a good business?

January 7th, 2009

Is the world hungry for cheap designer clothes?

Yes = a lot of ‘designer’ (i.e. over priced rip offs) gear is manufactured in China .. some factories** run an extra (night shift) … during the day they make the ‘official’ designer gear, during the night the ‘unofficial’ gear .. which they sell at the same price direct to the ‘parallel import’ channel …

The ‘designer’ companies would have you believe that the night shift produces ‘fakes’ .. the problem is (of course) that this brings into question, exactly what is the day shift producing then ? ** The less scrupulous factories will package up and sell all the day shift ‘rejects’ instead of (or as well as) running a night shift.
