So I’ve seen these shirts worn in the movie “Payback” and in various tv shows, Law and Order, to name but one. But I can’t find them for sale anywhere!!
What I’m looking for is where I can buy blue dress shirts with white tabbed collars and white French cuffs… I can find blue shirts with white collars and white cuffs, but not with TABBED white collars… Any ideas???
Thanks!!
I looked up tabbed collars because I didn’t know what that was, and found these:

I need your help. While on holiday in Asia, a tailor approached me on Orchard Street in Singapore. He persuaded me to let him take my measurements should I ever decide that a custom suit was for me. Although skeptical, I let him measure me.
For S$150 (which is something like US$125), he makes and ships to me custom suits. He has the pattern books for some of the high-end designers. I tried out his services on some low cost mens dress shirts and I was very pleased. Now I’m going to order a custom suit, but I’m not sure of what fabrics to order.
Any ideas on what I should say?
1) Textures and stripes? What kind of textures?
2) What kind of material? I hear polyester will make it look cheap. I want it to look very high quality.
Please advise!
I love Italian wool, it is very soft, light, smooth and of the highest quality. dark colors with light or faint pin stripes, thin pin stripes with about one inch between them, offer a slender and taller look. I suggest going to a men’s fine clothier, such as Brook’s Brothers and check out the fabrics and styles. Oh two button jackets only, four buttons are out of style and three buttons are fading fast

French Cuff Shirts from Irvine Park

Brooks Bros offers three sizing options for their mens dress shirts: traditional, slim, and luxury. I’m a pretty skinny dude, so I don’t want any more “traditional” sized shirts because they look too baggy on me. But I was wondering if the slim fit was too tight looking? I’m only asking because I don’t have the time to go try them on and screw around. If it helps at all, I wear the “custom fit” polo shirts. So if someone who wears those also wear the slim fit dress shirts, that would answer my question.
Thanks.
Luxury is your best bet I’m a girl so I buy the women’s shirts and have found that lux fits better than traditional and is not as tight as slim slim may look too gay.

Are there any places in Boston that make custom men’s dress shirts?
Or, where is a good place to buy nice shirts? (other than J Crew, BR, or Brooks Brothers)

What do you recommend in dress shirts for athletically built men with broad shoulders and a narrow waist? Not formal business attire, though I’d like it to be versatile. But it’ll mostly be worn as trendy/casual attire. I dont want to drop the cash for a custom made shirt.
Most shirts I find are either tight at the shoulder or loose at the waist, making it look like its hanging curtain off my chest/shoulders at the waistline, or like its about to burst at the shoulder/chest/arms area.
It’s better to have a shirt that follows my body line and shows the v shape, rather than the hanging curtain effect right? I’ve tried “modern fit” which should be slimmer to no avail. So any reccomendations? Links to the style of shirt would be appreciated.
Have you tried Abercrombie and Fitch???…their wovens are meant for a muscle look…they go with the silouette of your body
